Enhance the curiosity level to know about the syllabus,while also developing their ability to critically analyse music and perform in various styles, all with in the context of their chosen instrument or vocal specialisation. Music fulfills the determination in the students to study about the contribution of musical Maestros.
	Theory of Indian Music ( General) & Biographies PRACTICAL (DSC-1B)	MUSA 103 TH & MUSA 104 PR	Understanding basic music theory concepts like scales, intervals, thaats,shruti, ragas, lakshan geet etc. Familiarity with the structure and terminology of different music forms. Developing proficiency in playing and hold the instruments or singing with proper technique. Practice of vocal exercise and improvisation techniques. Learning and performing a repertoire of traditional and contemporary pieces.
BA 2nd Year	Ancient Grants and contribution PRACTICAL (DSC-1A)	MUSA 201 TH & MUSA 202 PR	Developing the ability to know accurately identify Meen,soot, murki etc. Practice of right singing and dictation exercises. Understanding the musical elements that contribute to the overall ethics and aesthetic sense of a piece. Exploring the culture of different time periods through talented musicologists like V.D. Paluskar, Maharishi Bhatkhande etc. Students enhance the ability to differentiate Notation system of North India Music & South India Music.
	Medieval Granths & contribution Practical (DSC-1B)	MUSA 203 TH & MUSA 204 PR	The typically aim to deepen students understanding of music theory, history, different musical forms like Dadra, Tappa etc. Continued refinement of practical performance skills on the chosen instrument or voice , including improvisation and interpretation of complex repertoire. Practice in composing original music and arranging existing pieces for different ensembles. Study of specific ragas through comparison as Avirbhav & Tirobhav. Examples of Ragas - Bageshree, jaunpuri and Miya Malhar . Examining the social and historical influence on music and its relationship to cultural practices. Study of renowned music Granths like sangeet parijat, swarmel kalanidhi etc.
	Presentation and Documentation (SEC-I)	MUSA 205 PR	This course aims to enhance the skills of students to presentation of Vocal Music in group such as folk or tribal Music, Light music, classical Ragas based on film songs. In this course students will understand the various parts of Tanpura and the technique of tuning it.
	Presentation and Documentation (SEC-II)	MUSA 206 PR	This course will understand students the ability to play thekas of talas on Tabla. Students will understand to operating sound system. Students will attend the classical concerts.
BA 3rd Year	Presentation and Documentation (SEC-III)	MUSA 301 PR	This course will understand students the basic techniques for playing the harmonium and tabla.
	Presentation and Documentation(SEC-IV)	MUSA 302 PR	This course aims to students to composing Music for Patriotic songs. Students will visit DD shimla /AIR shimla etc.
	Theory of Indian Music and study of ancient	MUSA 303 TH & MUSA 304 PR	This course acquaints students with a musical understanding of musical terms. The objectives of the syllabus is to make sure that students graduate with all the necessary knowledge about the field of music like folk music of HP and its modern trends. Students will have ability to enhance time theory of Ragas that how they can present ragas according to time. Enhance the skill to present different ragas like Todi, Darbari Kanhada etc.
	Theory of Indian Music and Gharna tradition & PRACTICAL(DSE-IB)	MUSA 305 TH & MUSA 306 PR	This course will enhance to train in the specialised techniques how to play percussion instruments like tabla, pakhawaj etc. This course seeks to introduce the students musical terms like Nibandh, Anibadh , orchestra,kaku etc. This course introduces the students with various ideas about Dhrupad, Dhamar, devotional Bhajan It enhances the ability to recite theka like Tilwada, Jhaptal, Dhamar,rupak etc.
	Theory of Indian Music and Folk music of Himachal Pradesh (GEC-1)	MUSA 307 TH	This course seeks to introduce the students to the study of Himachal Pradesh Musicians contribution in music Perspective. Students will understand the Impact of Music in Human life. This course will introduces students to the ragas like yaman, bhairav and talas like teental, darda.
	Economy and Society(GEC-2)	MUSA 308 PR	This course introduces the students to variety of Taan patterns. This course will enhance the ability of voice culture. These objectives help ensure a well- rounded music education that balances technical proficiency, creative expression and analytical skills
