Conduct Rules for Students

Conduct rules for students in educational institutions help create a respectful, safe, and productive learning environment. The conduct rules for the students in college is as under:

  1. Respectful Behavior:

    Students must treat all members of the institution—including peers, faculty, and staff—with respect and courtesy. Bullying, harassment, and discrimination are strictly prohibited.

    Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of honesty in their academic work. Plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of dishonesty are not tolerated.

  3. Attendance and Punctuality:

    Regular attendance and punctuality are required for all classes and academic activities. Absences should be justified with valid reasons and proper documentation.

  4. Classroom Conduct:

    Students must follow classroom rules and guidelines set by their teachers. Disruptive behavior, including talking out of turn or using mobile phones during class, is not permitted.

  5. Respect for Property:

    Students must respect institutional property and resources, including classrooms, libraries, and laboratories. Vandalism or misuse of property will result in disciplinary action.

  6. Dress Code:

    Students should adhere to the institution’s dress code policy, which is designed to promote a professional and respectful learning environment.

  7. Health and Safety:

    Students must comply with all health and safety regulations. This includes following guidelines related to hygiene, substance abuse, and emergency procedures.

  8. Responsibility and Accountability:

    Students are responsible for their own behavior and must take accountability for their actions. This includes adhering to deadlines, completing assignments on time, and managing their academic responsibilities.

  9. Use of Technology:

    Use of personal electronic devices in classrooms should be in line with institutional policies. Unauthorized use of technology for activities unrelated to academic work is prohibited.

  10. Participation and Engagement:

    Students are encouraged to actively participate in class discussions, group activities, and other academic engagements. Positive engagement contributes to their learning experience.

  11. Respect for Rules and Regulations:

    Students must follow all institutional rules and regulations, including those related to exams, extracurricular activities, and institutional events.

  12. Grievance and Reporting Mechanisms:

    Students should follow the institution’s procedures for reporting grievances, concerns, or incidents of misconduct. They are encouraged to use formal channels to resolve conflicts and seek assistance.

  13. Environmental Stewardship:

    Students are encouraged to contribute to maintaining a clean and environmentally friendly campus. Proper disposal of waste and respect for communal spaces are important.

  14. Prohibition of Substance Abuse:

    The use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances on campus is strictly prohibited. This includes drugs and alcohol, in accordance with institutional policies and legal requirements.

  15. Respect for Diversity:

    Students must respect and appreciate the diversity of the campus community. Discriminatory remarks or behavior based on race, gender, religion, or other personal characteristics will not be tolerated.
