Rover & Ranger Unit

Background

The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a voluntary organization. It is devoted to developing character of the young generation and selfless service to the country. The college has a rovers and rangers unit for boys and girls aged 17 to 25. One group consists of 24 Rovers and 24 Rangers. The Rovers and Ranger are sent to attend the training camps occasionally and are engaged in various college activities and functions resulting in great learning.

Objectives

Following are the objectives of the Unit:

  • The objective of the unit is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials. It also aims to help people become responsible citizens and become ideal members of the local, national and international communities.

Structure

  • Ranger Leader: Prof Varsha Verma

Functions

The Bharat Scouts and Guides is a youth organization that aims to develop the character, physical fitness, and sense of service among young individuals.

The following functions are mainly performed by the unit throughout the academic session:

  • Community Service
  • Cleanliness Drive
  • Tree Plantation-Rallies against social evils
